The History of PlexCom Online Services™
PlexComOLS was started in 1997 as a unit of AutoClarity Car Purchasing Consultants. As AutoClarity grew, new businesses developed within the company that demanded a new corporate structure. As a result, The Perplex International Holding Company (PerplexIHC) was established as the parent of AutoClarity and the sister companies it had been spinning off.

As demand for websites increased, PerplexIHC recognized that PlexComOLS was outgrowing its role as a sub-division of AutoClarity. Therefore, in March of 1998, PlexComOLS was established as its own fully independent unit of PerplexIHC. Our name, PlexCom, comes from the 'Plex' in Perplex, and the 'Com' in dot com. Our logo, the Perplexion Mark™, is based on a question mark, thus tying us further into the word 'perplex'. The Perplexion Mark™ used to feature a globe to represent the World Wide Web, but this was dropped when we launched our new corporate image in the spring of 2004.

In the fall of 1999, PerplexIHC refocused its business units, and merged its design firm, PGD Digital, into PlexComOLS to increase the quality of its Internet product offering. In November of 2001, PlexComOLS completed the buy-out of its parent company and all of its sister companies, while reorganizing into The PlexCom Group. Today, PlexComOLS has over 25 business website clients, as well as several individual, non-profit and educational clients. We also have several clients for which we provide consultant services, including both web-related consulting and print-media graphic design work.

With a home office in Boston, Massachusetts, PlexComOLS has a strong presence across Eastern Massachusetts, Southern Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine rounding out our New England region. We also have representation in Seattle, San Francisco and Washington D.C. Via our cooperation with Comradia.com in Beijing, we have reopened our operations in China.
